Terms and Conditions
Article 1 – Definitions
Click-fix.nl: the website click-fix.nl, an online platform focused on awareness and education regarding computer security.
BSM: BSM Business Security Management B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 37162013.
User: any natural person (consumer) or legal entity (company) that uses click-fix.nl.
Test viruses / dummy viruses: non-malicious software specially developed by BSM that simulates the behaviour of malware for educational and testing purposes.
Services: all functionalities offered via click-fix.nl, including but not limited to the Basic Test, Advanced Test, and Download Test.
Article 2 – Purpose and nature of the website
The sole purpose of click-fix.nl is to provide insight into how computer viruses and malware can infiltrate computers, in order to increase awareness and knowledge.
Click-fix.nl does not offer real malware and is not an attack tool.
All tests and downloads exclusively use dummy viruses, which:
- have been specially developed for this purpose by BSM;
- have no malicious intent;
- are solely intended for education, demonstration, and self-testing.
Click-fix.nl is not antivirus software, not tailored security advice, and not a replacement for professional IT security.
Article 3 – Suitability and user responsibility
The user is personally responsible for:
- the use of click-fix.nl;
- determining whether his/her computer, network, or environment is suitable for conducting tests;
- creating complete and current backups prior to use.
The user declares that they will use click-fix.nl exclusively on their own systems, or systems for which they have explicit permission.
Use by minors is only permitted under the supervision and responsibility of a parent or legal guardian.
Article 4 – Use entirely at own risk
The use of:
- the Basic Test;
- the Advanced Test;
- the Download Test
is entirely and exclusively at the user’s own risk.
Although BSM:
- has extensive experience with penetration testing and security tests;
- carefully tests all test viruses in advance;
- works according to professional standards,
the risk of malfunctions can never be completely eliminated.
The user expressly acknowledges that:
- in exceptional cases;
- with specific system configurations;
- or with unforeseen combinations of software
disruptions or side effects may occur.
Article 5 – Limitation of liability
BSM is in no way liable for:
- loss of data;
- downtime;
- system failures;
- damage to hardware or software;
- indirect damage or consequential loss;
arising from the use of click-fix.nl.
This exclusion applies to both consumers and companies, to the extent permitted by law.
Any liability of BSM is at all times limited to intent or gross negligence, whereby the burden of proof rests entirely with the user.
In all cases, liability is limited to zero euros (€0), to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude consumers’ statutory rights to the extent that this is not permitted.
Article 6 – No guarantee and no obligation to achieve results
BSM provides no guarantee that:
- systems will continue to function without problems;
- no conflicts will occur;
- test results are complete or representative of all threats.
Click-fix.nl provides insight and awareness, not complete security or guarantee against malware.
Article 7 – Intellectual property
All rights to:
- the website;
- the test viruses;
- the software;
- texts and explanations
rest with BSM.
It is not permitted to:
- copy;
- distribute;
- modify;
- reuse test viruses or parts thereof outside click-fix.nl.
Article 8 – Misuse and prohibited use
It is prohibited to use click-fix.nl for:
- malicious purposes;
- testing on third-party systems without permission;
- reverse-engineering or distribution of the test software.
In the event of misuse, BSM reserves the right to block access immediately.
Article 9 – Amendments
BSM reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
The most recent version is always available via click-fix.nl.
Article 10 – Applicable law
These terms and conditions are exclusively governed by Dutch law.
Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
